When I present workshops about revisions, I suggest evaluating the manuscript with an eye for where you've put the spotlight.
Spotlighting starts with knowing what matters to you in the world you're building for your characters. But it expands to how the world building engages your characters and what aspects of your world will have the most impact on your readers. Correct

Trusting the Elements of Paranormal Romance Novels
Trust is an imperative element of paranormal romance novels.
The paranormal romance author trusts the reader to make the leap and the reader trusts the author to make it believable. As a reader who often indulges in historical romance for escape, Amanda Quick books are some of my favorites. I'm a big fan of the Arcane Society series written under all three names Quick/Krentz/Castle and in all three time periods.

Favorite Winter Memories Of Adopted Greyhounds, Part 1
February is rather bleak in our area. It's about the only month down here when nothing is blooming, the grass is patchy brown and most of the trees look scraggly. On cloudy days it's worse, but as weather goes we have it pretty easy - especially right now when most of the rest of the country is dealing with snow and ice.

February is Library Lovers Month
February isn't just for Valentine's Day romance or President's Day sales. It is also Library Lovers month! Yup, a whole month devoted to those who love their library.
It's about time libraries got some love. Who Wants Free Paranormal Romance Novels?
Calling all paranormal romance novel fans! Who doesn't like free stuff? Of course I know fans of paranormal romance novels have their favorite authors in the genre, but let's face it - voracious readers are always looking for another great story. I know I am!
