Adopted Greyhound Loves Her Soldier
Yup, it's another Boo post! And another Memorial Day tie in, but stay a minute because I don't think I've told you this story before...
My husband, a soldier in the US Army Reserves, deployed to Iraq in the fall of 2007. He'd been gone most of the nine months before the actual departure with various training and schools. Adopted Greyhound Silly Stories
In the category of true but rarely admitted anecdotes, I'll advise you to not kiss a greyhound while wearing lip gloss. This is probably good advice for interacting with any dog breed, especially the super furry kind, but as this is Greyhound Saturday, I'll be specific.
I've been hanging out with greyhounds since...well let's just say it's been a long time. I've been a pet lover all my life and our life with greyhounds is just that much richer as we pass on our love for these 'greyt'

Researching Elements of Paranormal Romance Novels
As a paranormal romance author, or author of any genre really, how do you research what's primarily in your head? Especially if you've ventured into a setting in the future?
For me, I turned my research efforts to the past. Odd, maybe, but then again when I was working on Justice Incarnate, the first paranormal romance novel in the Shadows of Justice series, I was also dealing with a reincarnated heroine. Pointing my research efforts back in time helped me assess how quickly inventions come

Adopted Greyhound Loves His Toys
It's true we all start out as babies, and this truth applies equally to greyhounds. We didn't have Bandit as a 'new baby', though I admired the tenacity and dedication of the family who volunteered and first fostered this wonderful greyhound.
Greyhound puppies are notoriously smart and active. Racing greyhounds usually stay with their mother (God bless her) and their litter mates for much longer than other breeds and this helps a greyhound learn community rules that help them in training and

The Techno Elements of My Paranormal Romance Novels
In honor of the release of Tracking Shadows, I'm talking about some of the fun I've had with technology in my 2096 world.
For each of the books set in 2096, I've had the delightful experience of discovering some new element or advancement of technology. Writing into the future somehow sets my imagination free and writing with the barest sketch of a plotline only makes it more fun. For me. Don't expect my critique partners to agree.
But that amazing sense of discovery is a real rush for me

Regan Black Releases New Paranormal Romance Novel
Drum roll please... Tracking Shadows has officially arrived!
I just can't adequately express how happy I am about this book. Slick Micky has been pestering me for years to be the lead in his own story, but I had to find the right woman. I believe Trina is the perfect foil for Micky, and not just because she came back to Chicago to assassinate him. I suppose Tracking Shadows could be labeled as both urban fantasy (it's set in Chicago in 2096) and as a paranormal romance novel since...well I

Adopted Greyhound Learns to Sing Happy Birthday
I mentioned it last week, in my little trip down memory lane, that Brody sings Happy Birthday whenever we celebrate. Last week was the daughter's eighteenth, but this week is another milestone: my baby turns fifteen! The time: it is a-flying!
In the coming months, there will be driving permits and lessons and applications to the science and math school. But first there will be cake and a party this afternoon. (prayers are welcome).
