Favorite Winter Memories of Adopted Greyhounds, part 3
Bandit, the greyhound puppy we started fostering as a not quite one year old soon became a permanent addition…and with a surprising snowfall, he became…
The Prince of Snow
Bandit arrived in November and one of our favorite discoveries was that he liked ice. We couldn’t go to the freezer for anything without having him lope along into the kitchen to beg for an ice cube. He’d stick his head right into the open door (our freezer is on the bottom) and do his best to sweep that long nose and tongue over the ice cube bin.
A few months later, in February, the Lowcountry got a wintry surprise in the form of real snowfall. Not a rumor or a flurry, but the stuff that sticks. Through the night our back yard was blanketed with five inches of the white stuff. It clung to a decorative fence I put up to protect my butterfly garden (the greyhounds consider it the infield).

Paranormal Romance Authors 'Go Indie'
There was a time when 'going indie' was akin to announcing you were 'going nude' at work.
The vast majority of the population looked at you with a worried, even pitying expression. No one wanted to get too close for fear your insanity was contagious. My how times have changed.
These days it seems readers hope for - even expect - an author to announce an indie release and the worried faces are only on those associated with the big traditional

Favorite Winter Memories of Adopted Greyhounds, Part 2
Well, Bubbles has a polar opposite with our current 'queen' Boo. (again I say the 'B' names are completely coincidental.)

Trusting the Elements of Paranormal Romance Novels
The paranormal romance author trusts the reader to make the leap and the reader trusts the author to make it believable. As a reader who often indulges in historical romance for escape, Amanda Quick books are some of my favorites. I'm a big fan of the Arcane Society series written under all three names Quick/Krentz/Castle and in all three time periods.
An analyst could look at Krentz's career and have enough for an in depth

So to create a little February fun, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite adopted greyhound winter memories on Grey Saturdays this month.

February is Library Lovers Month
It's about time libraries got some love. Libraries are about the last place a body can go to get any sort of real quiet (although writing and reading while surrounded by napping cats and greyhounds is truly awesome!) While everyone probably has had a run in with a stern librarian at least once, these public institutions are

Who Wants Free Paranormal Romance Novels?
Being a fan of the genre as well as a paranormal romance author, I've changed up my efforts to make it easier for readers to get to know me, and to take my work for a test drive before parting with $2.99 for my paranormal romance
